Welcome to Flowery Branch where small town charm meets modern conveniences!

This small but unique city can be found in north Georgia.  The town, incorporated in 1903, is forty-five miles from Atlanta and twelve miles from Gainesville, the seat of Hall County.  Flowery Branch, once the site of an early Indian trading post, was originally named Anaguluskee, derived from the Cherokee word meaning “flowers on the branch.”

The housing market in Flowery Branch is fairly competitive especially properties that have access to Lake Lanier.  The median home price is $430,000.  However, home prices can range from the $300,000’s up to $2 million.  There are fewer home sales compared to other larger cities.   New construction projects of single family homes and town homes are springing up around town to keep up with the growing population.

Lake Lanier – The largest lake in Georgia that has a 700 mile shoreline spread over 38,000 acres of spectacular landscape.  One of the big perks of living in Flowery Branch is the close accessibility to Lake Lanier.   Safe Harbor and Aqua Land are the two marinas inside the city limits offering boat slips and dry boat storage.

Home of the Falcons

In 2004, the Atlanta Falcons football team announced its intention to move its training facility to Flowery Branch, where the team is currently based. A cutting-edge training campus, costing $20 million, was completed just in time for the 2005 training season.

Historic Downtown

Flowery Branch boasts a quaint downtown with unique shopping, dining, and cultural opportunities.

Tour the  Historic Train Depot and Museum to understand the significance of the restored train depot and its ties to the town’s identity. The museum features well-curated exhibits and a wooden caboose from 1914 that curious visitors can explore.

Farmer’s Market –with local farmers, artisans, and purveyors sharing their foods and goods. Bring home local treats including handpicked seasonal fruits and vegetables, fresh baked delicacies, fresh cut flowers, and more.

Block Parties – The community hosts block parties starting in late summer through the fall.  Flowery Branch is becoming a haven for live music performances. Our Block Parties and the new Music in The Branch are turning up the volume and giving downtown a lively vibe.

5K Run/Walk Events – Held during the late spring/early summer, and also a Boo Run in the fall.
