Atlanta Botanical Garden: Garden Lights, Holiday Nights
The Atlanta Botanical Garden in located next to Piedmont Park in Midtown. Open nightly through Jan 12, 2025, the 30 acre garden will be transformed by two million lights illuminating trees, garden sculptures and themed displays. Visitors to Garden Nights, Holiday Lights can explore the stunning garden displays, including giant snowflakes and the enchanting tunnel of light. They can also capture a photo at the Kiss Me Arch, all while enjoying hot beverages and the festive sounds of carolers strolling by.
IllumiNights @ Zoo Atlanta
Come and enjoy the magic of Atlanta holiday lights at Zoo Atlanta. This is a lantern festival presented by Georgia Power that started on November 14, 2024 and ends on January 19, 2025. From 5:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. visitors can take a mile-long stroll through a path of stunning contemplation of the wildlife of our planet. Warm up with hot cocoa and a marshmallow roast by the fire. Adults 21 + can enjoy some signature holiday spirits. Add sparkle to your social with photo ops around every corner.
Stone Mountain Christmas Lights
The Stone Mountain Park has outdone itself this year! Enjoy a dazzling laser show, explore the forest of lights and music, and catch a visit from Santa himself. There will be a live performance of a hilarious take on the Christmas Carol that you won’t want to miss. This year’s show features a new musical light display projected onto the mountain for an amazing grand finale! From November 9, 2024, to January 5, 2025
Fernbank Museum WildWoods: AGLOW
An adventure meant to enchant all of your senses. You will be immersed into the splendors of nature through a blend of the real environment, contemplative music and glowing displays, uniquely curated to highlight the native flora and fauna within WildWoods. Visitors can enjoy the magic of towering trees enhanced by beams of light, massive glowing mushrooms and nocturnal wildlife. Opened on November 8th and runs select nights until February 23rd 2025.
Celebration at the Station
The Atlantic Station transforms into an impressive synchronized light and music show. Take your time and enjoy a walk through festive light displays, then head to the Station for a show featuring holiday tunes and thousands of dazzling lights. What could be better than ice skating with your loved ones on a cold Christmas day? Skate under the stars at the largest outdoor skating rink in metro Atlanta!
Margaritaville’s Lakeside Lights Spectacular
Craving a unique and exciting adventure this holiday season? Only a 45 minute drive from Atlanta is Margaritaville at Lake Lanier Islands. The park is hosting a walkable holiday lights tour set to holiday tunes and suitable for ALL ages. Located in the center of the light show, the Tipsy Elf is your go-to station for cocktails, hot cocoa, and sweet treats. Open for the first night on November 22 and runs nightly Dec 1 thru January 3rd. Then the show will switch to weekend-only nights until January 15th.
However there are many other activities for anyone searching for more adventure. License to Chill Snow Island is open for winter fun including snow tubing on a 575-foot-long, eight-story slide, ice skating, and many holiday-themed fun and games.
