At the beginning of the year, I read a quote that’s been living rent-free in the back of my mind…
“Stop digging for diamonds and get fascinated with pebbles…”
When I was eight, I lived in a weathered farmhouse with a crystal-clear stream winding through the backyard. Pulling on my green frog rain boots, I’d wade into the icy water, embarking on grand adventures to unearth gold and arrowheads.
The stream transformed ordinary pebbles into treasures. Under the sunlit water, they gleamed in deep reds, vibrant yellows, and obsidian blacks—smooth and cool in my palm before disappearing into my bulging pockets. Each pebble had its own unique beauty, a silent reminder that wonder lies in the little things we overlook.
This year has been my year of pebbles. Unexpected, fascinating, and full of color—every relationship, every phone call, every record-breaking sale has filled me with deep gratitude.
If we worked together this year, you know I didn’t do it alone. I was blessed with the best team of rockstars, and I can’t help but shout them out:
- Pam: A 4½-foot dynamo, our lighthouse of integrity. She shows up every day, beams sunshine, and makes “no” an impossible word.
- Jennifer: The eternal optimist and rainmaker, who can turn an open house into a party. She’s had one of her best years ever, and I’m so proud.
- Cherie: The details queen who ensures our contracts are flawless and our clients are bulletproof.
As I sit here, writing this email and reflecting on this year, my heart is full.
In real estate, when you escape the rollercoaster of feast or famine, the world says, “Build bigger.” But bigger isn’t always better. I love the closeness, the connections, and the joy of walking this journey side by side with clients who trust me to guide them.

As this year comes to a close I’ve realized that the pebbles I’ve collected throughout this journey are far more valuable than any diamond I could have found, and the stream is still calling my name…
What are you grateful for this year? Are you excited to embark on any new adventures? Or is it time to settle in a little deeper and plant your roots?
Wherever you are on this journey I hope you take some time to reflect and connect.
Wishing you the Happiest New Year,
