This is it folks, a modern ranch on a full basement with dynamite schools. Some might call it a unicorn. Others don’t know what words to use. Nevertheless, this mythical creature (or home) has magically appeared, and guess what? IT’S FOR SALE!
Many agents–myself included—tell buyers that homes like this don’t exist. It’s the kind of home that when you see it on HGTV makes you say to yourself, “Where is that house? I want to live there.” It has everything on your wish list:
- Modern design elements
- Great schools
- One-level living
- A full basement
- A huge backyard
- A two-car garage
- Storage galore
- An awesome neighborhood with swimming pool
- New systems and a new roof
- A garden gnome
It’s the kind of home you see in those really sappy Zillow.com commercials that make you cry. It’s the kind of home that commercials for Volkswagen and Dyson vacuum cleaners are filmed in.
It’s cooler than cool.
So stop listening to all of us skeptical real estate agents who keep saying that you’ll have to compromise on what you want for what you can afford. Blah, blah, blah. Go ahead and hit the forward button and tell them you want to set up a showing ASAP. No need to say, “I told you so.”
By the way, Bigfoot was just spotted in the backyard of 184 Millbrook Farm Rd. and he was riding a Centaur. OK. Not really. But there is seriously a garden gnome. (He’s red. Look for him in the front yard.)
